Surrounded by spectacular scenery this is an excellent central base for either walking or touring the rugged fells and beautiful lakes.
The exciting drive over Hardnott Pass with its breathtaking views is just a 10 minute drive away and it leads to Eskdale village and the Cumbrian west coast.
Local Towns
The picturesque little towns and villages of the Langdales, Ambleside and Broughton in Furness are an easy and scenic drive with the interesting Lakeland towns of Kendal and Ulverston a little further afield.
There is a shop and pub within a couple of miles.
